Nurturing Yourself Under the Cancer Full Moon: Embrace Your Cocoon

The Cancer Supermoon today is luminous and activates our feelings and intuition. Water is the element here to heal the feels.

Hello and Welcome to 2026...

My house is calm and serene as I watch my youngest daughter and husband immerse themselves in self care rituals. The down time of painting and tiling takes their minds which are normally on high alert into nothingness. Moments lost in time by being completely absorbed without distraction in the moment. The liminal Christmas /New Year period for us, has been unrushed, no to do lists, nowhere to be, no plans locked in, minimal alcohol, sleep ins and a whole lot of rest and nothingness. We have cocooned.

I can literally see and feel our nervous systems coming back into regulation - it is peaceful and serene, but the best thing is they have had the awareness to see, feel and acknowledge the difference this down time has made and how stressed they were prior. And it's all under the Cancer Full Moon today - a Moon of illumination of how we nurture ourselves, how we feel, how we intuit. How we process big feels, or if we don't how we act in response to our feelings not being seen or heard. More on this later!

I always feel a little underwhelmed at New Years and honestly don't feel any change or reset. It took me a long time to work out why I always felt so unsettled at this Gregorian Point of time and its simply it doesn't align with any of Natures cycles or Earths Rhythms - it was day marked by the Pope in the 1500s to align the Moon with Easter time and thus became the Gregorian calendar of Time as we know it - but do we FEEL it? After hearing from lots of people after the tick into 2026 they feel unsettled, unfinished, unsure and definitely not tickety boo joyous ( thats fabulous if you do by the way!)

And that's because we are still in Planetary cycles that aren't finished and are very much still going over timelines from 2025, we may feel like there actually is unfinished business, but this Cancer Moon will definitely be guiding us with her light we are very much still going over timelines from March 2025

• Saturn and Neptune are back in Pisces where they were for most of 2025 bar March - July.

• Chiron our achillies heal of inner hurts and shadows has only just started to go forward today also over old timelines and perhaps bringing up personal repetitious themes or feelings

• Venus our planet of love and self worth is currently ' in between" skies - she is in the Underworld, completely invisible as she is so close to the Sun. Mythology says that when Venus is in the transitional space between morning star and becoming a night start she is in the Underworld where she faces her shadow sides with courage to leave behind what is not worthy before she moves into our skies as the beautiful Evening Star visible to the West.

• The Year of the Snake - shedding old versions of ourselves is still continuing til Mid February when the Chinese New Year moves us into the Year of the Horse.

• The Astrological New Year starts at the Autumn Equinox in April, which to me always feels like the cosmic reset we all so desperately crave at times.

So Yeh - thats kind of why I don't feel the New Year Feels. I move with the energy of the Planetary Alignments and the Earths Seasons and that to me is grounded connection. Time for me doesn't align in a neat 12 month period!!!

This Cancer Full Moon will nudge us with what is buried by shining a beam of light into the darkest crevices of our subconscious. Light can make us recoil and blind us or we can face it and be shown the way. Cancer is the Mother, Motherlines, Ancestral Lines, a sense of belonging, buried emotions and deep seeded memories. Themes of this Moon will be personal to us as Venus and Mars are sandwiching the Sun with courage and desire. In practical Capricorn this supports relationships and the balance of the feminine and masculine energies within us. This is Mature love, clear boundaries, emotional intimacy and soul aligned action. This Moon can guide us to build something that is lasting from emotional truth, if we slow down and explore with radical honesty what is coming up and how we are acting.

With this Moon period of 3 days allow yourself time and space to journal, to ponder, to sit

Use the element of Water to wash away any energies that aren't yours to hold

Use Water to wash away any burdens you have been carrying - simply stating I no longer wish to hold this in my energy field is just so so powerful.

Ask your guides or higher beings to guide you via signs or dreams or anyway you resonate with

A statement of "I return all that is not mine to hold to its original source" aids in also clearing your field. I let the shower wash over me when I say this.

Call in your Healed Ancestors to guide you and walk with you

Acknowledge any heavy feelings that are coming up for you and instead of berating yourself or self loathing - Forgive yourself and send love to these parts of yourself that you have abandoned

Use the elements of Air to speak words into the winds to be blown away. Water to wash away, Fire to burn away and the Earth to Compost, regenerate and rebirth.

2026 won't start bopping away until at least Mid February so release the push and pressure of New Years Resolutions and whatever else is feeling heavy!

Time once again is going to get even speedier from now on - we are moving into Fire and Air planetary shifts in late February.

For those of you who are sensitive, you may have already been experiencing time lines of things happening before they've happened or a sense of timing or knowing around things.

Connecting into higher beings will be easier for inner guidance rather than external guidance.

Your Clairsentient senses will start to open if you want this. Shits about to get real with Time!! So please please keep yourselves and your minds grounded and present as best as you can. I will be running more Sound Events this year to help you.

Connection to other like minded beings is huge as so many will feel a deep sense of loneliness when their spiritual sides come 'on line '
